Krista + Jonathan Married! - Seal Beach Wedding Photography
Kristin and Jonathan were referred to me by a bridesmaid from a wedding I did last year and I couldn't be happier to be the one who photographed their wedding. On 10-10-10 Kristin and Jonathan were married next to the Seal Beach Pier in an very intimate ceremony. It was a beautiful day. Not too hot, not too cold, not too windy. Perfect for a wedding on the sand. About 25 close family and friends gathered. Kristin arrived and was escorted to the ceremony site by the Seal Beach Lifeguards. Her brother walked her down the isle as she beamed her brilliant excited smile at Jonathan. She did not stop smiling the entire wedding. It was contagious. Neither did Jonathan. They both looked so happy and in love. After the ceremony we had fun photographing near the water and as the sun set. Here are some of my favorite images. Congratulations Kristin and Jonathan!
A Little about me: When I was a kid I was surrounded by artists in my family. Both of my grandmothers, dear old dad, and my older brother were all amazing at drawing and painting. I tried to follow in their footsteps, but could never quite get there. That is until I picked up a camera in my first photo class in high school. I was hooked!
Any photograph that I take is an extension of myself. It is what I find to look cool, beautiful, funny, sweet, etc. I love the sculpted lines of a vintage car, the bright colors of a mural, the texture of old paint on a wall, the way the afternoon light warms a face, a dark silhouette against the sunset. I am fascinated by the way they can show love between a bride and groom, the sassy side of a woman’s personality, or the carefree attitude of a child. I love that my photographs tell it all without any words.
These are fantastic! You did a fab job with that direct sun! I LOVE the shot under the pier, so pretty!
